Martin,

I do not understand quite what you are requesting me to do in this issue. Could
you provide further details please?

Thank you

Comment 7 Unknown 2001-06-20 17:12:14 UTC
I would stick with external and ext as an additional alias (is that possible
just for the virtual domain ?)

Comment 10 Unknown 2001-06-20 19:43:14 UTC
Yep, I can get it started today.

Questions: Who is the project lead? Who is the mailing list owner? Who
should be on list moderation (default is Michelle and myself)?

Comment 11 stx123 2001-06-20 20:53:39 UTC
>Who is the project lead?
Massimo.Lanfranconi@Sun.com

My initial proposal said:
>>The Project "external"
>>- has a cvs@external mailing list
>>- has no dev, users, ... mailing lists
Discussion should take place in modules where external functionality is needed
or dev@ooo
>Who is the mailing list owner?
mailadmin@openoffice.org as for other cvs lists
> Who should be on list moderation (default is Michelle and myself)?
none needed
Comment 12 Unknown 2001-06-20 21:41:04 UTC
project created already; max added as lead; cvs@external.openoffice.org is only
list.

The following modules were already in place:

 * aspell (A More Intelligent Ispell)
 * berkeleydb (sleepycat berkeleydb)
 * moz (Mozilla header and libraries needed for building)
 * pspell (Portable Spell Checker Interface Library)

Max, you should now make a project homepage, so that there'll be content at
http://external.openoffice.org/; until then, there's not much point in putting
it on the projects page.

I'm going to re-assign this task to Max, since the only thing gating this from
going live is the index.html page for http://external.openoffice.org/

Max, when you've done that, re-assign the issue back to me and I will add the
external project to the projects page. Sound fair?

Comment 13 Unknown 2001-06-20 21:44:59 UTC
Excellent! I'll get back to you as soon as a decent index.html is in place.
Thanks
Comment 14 Unknown 2001-06-22 01:32:22 UTC
Max completed the homepage, but we're having some technical difficulties; the
new project alias (http://external.openoffice.org) is not displaying the
homepage that max created in external/www

Kat is investigating; I'm turning over this issue to her for resolution, and
putting louis on the cc: line for any followthough that might be necessary
tomorrow.

This issue has been entered internally for tracking as pcn4678. It appears that
the virtual host external.openoffice.org is not being recognized. We are working
to remedy this and I will keep you updated of this issue's progress.

Thank you
Kat

This has been resolved by adding the virtual host and restarting apache. The
content will be displayed properly now.

Thank you
Kat

As agreed by Louis I will close these resolved fixed kat (support)-owned issues
now. If you have trouble with that, please re-open the issue.
