Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 106619
calc notes are not saved
Last modified: 2009-11-05 18:18:13 UTC
Notes inserted in cells of a Calc sheet are not saved when using native format (ODF) to save the document. To reproduce : Open a new calc sheet. In a cell, insert a note (by right-clicking or by using the Menu Insert / Note). Save the document in OpenDocument format. Close it and re-open it : the note has disappeared, it has not been saved. NB: if the sheet is saved in MS Excel format, the note is correctly saved!
NOT reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version German UI activated [OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"! OS or Platform specific? pposc: What Linux do you use and what is your source for your OOo? Please attach a test kit containing an OOo spreadsheet and an EXCEL export with a note!
Created attachment 65941 [details] spreadsheet containing 1 cell with a note. The note has disappeared after the file has been saved in ODS format
Created attachment 65942 [details] Same spreadsheet, saved in Excel format. The note is visible.
I'm running Fedora 11 (Linux 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.x86_64 x86_64) The OpenOffice I'm using is the one provided with Fedora : OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 OOO310m19 (Build:9420) (See the attached screenshot) I've attached two files. It is the same spreadsheet I've created twice: just one cell with a note. The first one has been saved in ODS format The second one has been saved in Excel format
Created attachment 65943 [details] OpenOffice version
I've just tested the same version of 00o on two other platforms : * on Fedora 11 on a 32 bits Intel platform : same (incorrect) behaviour * on Debian : the bug is not present Do you want me to open an issue on the Fedora bug tracker ?
Issue also opened on Fedora bug tracker, because it seems OS dependent. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=533146
Its a side-effect of my first-cut at the fix for issue 102061. I'll mark this as duplicate of that, even though that's not strictly true, but that patch is now updated to fix this problem *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 102061 ***
