Description pposc 2009-11-04 23:13:10 UTC
Notes inserted in cells of a Calc sheet are not saved when using native format
(ODF) to save the document.

To reproduce :
Open a new calc sheet.
In a cell, insert a note (by right-clicking or by using the Menu Insert / Note).
Save the document in OpenDocument format.
Close it and re-open it : the note has disappeared, it has not been saved.

NB: if the sheet is saved in MS Excel format, the note is correctly saved!

NOT reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version German UI
activated [OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"!

OS or Platform specific?

pposc:
What Linux do you use and what is your source for your OOo?
Please attach a test kit containing an OOo spreadsheet and an EXCEL export with
a note!

Same spreadsheet, saved in Excel format. The note is visible.
Comment 4 pposc 2009-11-05 09:52:22 UTC
I'm running Fedora 11 (Linux 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.x86_64 x86_64)
The OpenOffice I'm using is the one provided with Fedora :
OpenOffice.org 3.1.1
OOO310m19 (Build:9420)
(See the attached screenshot)

I've attached two files. It is the same spreadsheet I've created twice: just one
cell with a note.
The first one has been saved in ODS format
The second one has been saved in Excel format

Comment 6 pposc 2009-11-05 10:35:21 UTC
I've just tested the same version of 00o on two other platforms :

* on Fedora 11 on a 32 bits Intel platform : same (incorrect) behaviour
* on Debian : the bug is not present

Do you want me to open an issue on the Fedora bug tracker ?

Comment 7 pposc 2009-11-05 11:15:34 UTC
Issue also opened on Fedora bug tracker, because it seems OS dependent.

Its a side-effect of my first-cut at the fix for issue 102061. I'll mark this as
duplicate of that, even though that's not strictly true, but that patch is now
updated to fix this problem
