your area, Jürgen
I will check this later.
Can you please also provide PostScript version?
Juergen, I think this is quite important for people who want to read this really wonderful resource in paprform. Could you please provide at least PostScript version that is printable? I think that this is really important if we want to have more developers.
Set this to new status, as I think this issue is confirmed.
The next PDF version will contain all missing fonts. For future version we will change all this special fonts. But this is a lot of work to do and we will do it later. We will not provide a PostScript version because we don't want to increase the SDK with a further redundant version of the DevGuide. It should be possible to create a PostScript version from the new PDF. I will put a PostScript version on api.openoffice.org later.
JSC: fixed on cws sdk02
JSC -> SUS: please verify
Under Linux SUSE 8.0 acroread -toPostScript works fine, but the postscript file was unable to load with gv (ghostview). Even the PDF itself was unable to read (try page 24): Error: /ioerror in --token-- Operand stack: --dict:4/4(L)-- 2 --dict:85/85(ro)(G)-- --nostringval-- Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- %array_continue --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push --nostringval-- %loop_continue --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- Dictionary stack: --dict:1041/1241(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:72/200(L)-- --dict:97/127(ro)(G)-- --dict:218/230(ro)(G)-- --dict:19/24(L)-- --dict:4/6(L)-- --dict:19/20(L)-- Current allocation mode is local Current file position is 449 GNU Ghostscript 6.53: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
Page 24 is the first one to use that font - there are bullets at bottom of the page. This was the same result when I printer the original file - printer stopped at page 23...
SUS: JSC told me that the font is now embedded, it works with a new version of acroread (5.0), by this it more a problem of ghostview then of the PDF. I gonna file a new issue to PL ( #i15337 )
verified
acroread -toPostScript xml_specification.pdf works fine under Linux SUSE 8.0 -> closed
