Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10717
F12 not working in Spreadsheet
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:15:02 UTC
When selecting f12 to "redo" the key is programmed to do grouping. Appears to be an error.

Hi, this works as designed and is no bug. Have a look at the Help system and search for Keyboard shortcuts. Frank

Hi Ben, I'm reopening this Issue as F12 is named for Redo in OOo on Linux systems. Frank
Hi Niklas, on Linux the F12 key is named for Redo in the Edit menu and as Hotkey for grouping. Frank
NN->CP: The name for KEY_REPEAT is "F12" on Linux, but Repeat and F12 have different functions, so they shouldn't display the same name.
I am on Linux using Writer on Beta 1.1, and I note that when I apply a style to a paragraph, say Heading 2 in this case, the Edit-> menu shows "Repeat Apply Styles" the next time I click in a paragraph. If I use this menu entry, the newly selected text also becomes Heading 2, as expected. So far so good. But if I use the F12 key, which is listed as the shortcut key for this action on the Edit menu, it makes my selection into an entry in a numbered list instead of Heading 2. When I then select the Edit menu to see what happened, the undo action and repeat action show "apply styles."
cp->pl: please check this one (f12 really is redo, isn't it ?)
