When Impress is started, a dialog box appears: "The OOo-Dev configuration has
been changed. Under Tools - Options - OOoDev - Java, select the Java runtime
environment you want to have used by OOo-Dev".

This dialog box cannot be closed - it just reappears. You have to kill the
OOo-Dev process. 

Restarting OOo-Dev and selecting the JRE before starting Impress fixes the problem.

Sorry, not reproducible. Is this an original version from  OOo you are using?
