'Brochure' printing explanation unclear
Last modified: 2005-06-24 15:26:13 UTC
It is really unclear from the Help how exactly to use the 'brochure' function to produce a fold-up booklet. Since there's no print preview as yet, I don't want to waste paper experimenting, so I thought I'd ask for clarification first. Say you start with e.g. a set of A4 landscape pages laid out in two columns, what do you have to do (apart from ticking the 'brochure' option in Print) in order to end up with the pages laid out as A5 on folded A4 landscape paper? I'm used to using the booklet function in WordPerfect, where you use Page Divide, and then the print system knows to reorder the pages to get them in the right place for a folding booklet. Is this the same, and if yes, how do I set up the pages? Thanks - Padmavyuha
I believe you should ask this on the user mailing list for quicker clarification. I can then post a FAQ item or something to the site.
FPE: We'll have a look at it.
UFI->FPE: Yours. See if we'd need something
we will include a new guide how to print booklets.
new file swriter\guide\print_brochure.xhp
.
UFI: pls verify in CWS helpcontentbeta and close
Set to correct status 'resolved fixed'.
HI->UFI: I'm not agree with the current description from cws helpcontentbeta. There is a tyoing error on last row from the first paragraph: "objects on you document" should be "objects on your document" and Point-Number 5 should not end with OK.
And I did a typing error as well on my comment before ;)
FPE: Ok, I will remove this task from the CWS and we will correct that after beta.
changed text\swriter\guide\print_brochure.xhp
FPE: Pls verify in hc680postbeta QA Hint: Look for "brochures; printing individual" in the help index
fixed
FPE: Due to time constraints removed from CWS
