Thank you joesch Confirmed with AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1560934 2014-01-27_04:11:25 - Rev. 1561585 Debian
When adding a new toolbar the customize dialog asks for a name when pressing new. In that name dialog there is a "save in" drop down box that offers the selection "OpenOffice Base: Data View". Maybe something in base has to be saved first to make the toolbar be saved, too. When re-opening the dialog you can see that in the tab 'Toolbars' in the DropDown 'Toolbar' then ewly created toolbar is there, with all added buttons (I added some to make it use something). The new Toolbar is there after save/reload and after AOO colose/reopen/load. Thus, the problem seems more that there is no mechanism to 'show' the toolbar again in the Data Sources-View. This might be a missing feature that noone thought about being necessary. I would expect the newly defined tollbar to show up under 'view/toolbars', maybe this menu would need to get merged from Writer and Base application (both seem to run at that time). The original Toolbar from that View - called 'TableData' is also not in that menu, but it can also not be closed, maybe to avoid the problem to not being able to reopen it again ever. Maybe that would be a simple alternative to self-defined toolbars in that View...

(I've just not mentioned because each reliving the error, the notice anyway.)
