Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 107827
Problem with PDF-Printing after upgrade to 3.1
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:01:58 UTC
hi there, I got a problem with openoffice after upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1 (Fedora 10 to Fedora 11). Previously I could convert all types of documents to PDF by using this command: /usr/bin/ooffice -headless -pt PDF-Konverter "Profil.rtf" Now this still works (i.e. it creates a PDF-file), but the command does not return after printing. Instead I have to kill it. As a "workaround" I found that I have to start first /usr/bin/soffice -accept=socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.ServiceManager -headless -nologo -norestore -nofirststartwizard (that does not return either, but this time probably on purpose....) When I issue the above first command again, it prints and returns, but this Server-Mode-OpenOffice has to run in the background..... What is the difference between 3.0 and 3.1 and how can I create PDF's with just a single instance of openoffice? Regards Michael
seems to work just fine in DEV300m68 @cd: was there any known issue with commandline printing that would cause the office not to quit ?
please have a look
FWIW F-11 is no longer supported by Fedora. The obvious thing to do would be to run with "headless" and see if e.g. the worthless "register" dialog has appeared for some reason.
What is PDF-Konverter?
