Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10792
"Java and JavaScript are not supported" should be "Dont support Java"
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:53:51 UTC
On the "Java Setup" dialog in the installer you get the following options: ----------------- ( ) Java and JavaScript are not supported ( ) Already installed on the system Java Runtime Environment (Version 1.4.1_01) ----------------- it should be: ( ) Dont support Java ( ) Use already installed environment: Java Runtime Environment (Version 1.4.1_01) Why does it say anything about JavaScript????????? Java != JavaScript
He Elizabeth, Do we need a UI change here? What's about our beta? Are we to late for UI bugs?
EM->OF: I cannot find the offending JavaScript string in the resource database which leads me to believe that this error has already been fixed and will not appear in a more recent build.
Sorry, my mistake. We have changed the UI for 643. For OOo 1.0.x we won't change the UI.
Is ok in 643.
I'm seeing this in "1.0.2"
I know that you have seen this in OOo 1.0.2. But as I have written, we won't change the UI for OOo 1.0.2 or later. In OO 643 this is fixed, we have created a new dialog. That's why I have set this issue to 'fixed'. For OOo 1.0.2 the statement 'wontfix' would be correct.
Fixed in 643, wontfix for 1.0.2 or later.
