in the main page on open office (openoffice.org) it keeps telling me that i'm
not logged in even though i technically am as other pages like this one say i am.

Hi, this works for me. Maybe you're using a proxy and you need to (hard) refresh
the web page within your browser.

Ctrl+Shift+r will help you I believe.
