Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 108462
AutoCorrect option: "Use replacement table" doesn't work for [M] options
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:15:55 UTC
- New Writer doc - Verify that "Tools - AutoCorrect - Options - Use replacement table" [M] is checked - Verify the "English (USA)" is chosen for the replacement table - in the text type "abotu" - press Space -> text gets replaced with "about" (this is ia the "while you type" [T] function) - Now Undo to get "abotu" again - do "Format - AutoCorrect - Apply" -> nothing happens Sum up: the [M] function of "Use replacement table" doesn't work. @Cédric: this issue blocks issue 107088, issue 107083 and issue 107084. Why? we wanted to remove the "Replace 1/2" option and put it in the replacement table. Currently "Replace 1/2" works with [M]and [T]. If we remove the option from the Option Tab, it will loose it's functionality for [M] (because of the current issue). Can you have a look at the current issue and see if you can fix it in the CWS? Else reassign to OS for 3.x and revert your changes concerning the deletion of the"Replace 1/2" option. Thanx!
@OS: we found out that this bug only affects "some" entries of the replacement table. Our concern was the replacement of "1/2..." but we managed to make it work in CWS cbosdo01. So reassigning to you and removing dependences/CCs. I couldn't find out for we entries and why it does not work. A quick test shown following results: Following strings are written in the document: 1/2 -- --> -> (c) (r) (tm) Abotu Résult ("Bug" = "not corrected" ; "Ok" = "corrected"): ------- 1/2 -> Bug -- -> Bug --> -> Bug -> -> Bug (c) -> ok (r) -> ok (tm) -> ok Abotu-> Bug ------
