Description asmilwho 2010-01-19 19:47:17 UTC
Spreadsheet 1 contains a cell which contains a formula which does some
calculation or even something like "=d6" (no the quotes aren't in the actual
formula).

Spreadsheet 2 contains a "Link to External Data" link to the cell in Spreadsheet 1.

When the link updates itself, it inserts the *formula* ("=d6") into the cell in
Spreadsheet 2, and not the *result* of the calculation.

This is a defect. In fact there seems to be no way to do what I can do inside a
single spreadsheet: decide whether I'm linking to the data or to the formula itself.

I confirm the described behaviour but I do not know if it is a defect or a feature.
To get the value instead of the formula, please try a formula like this :
='file:///home/user_name/Bureau/source.ods'#$Feuille1.A1

Insert - Link to External Data... doesn't work.
After selecting external data source, the OK button is disabled and the Available tables/ranges is blank.
