xlsx Not Appearing as Spreadsheet

When I go to "Open" or "Insert Sheet From File", I then set the "File Type" to "Spreadsheets" xlsx files do not match. They are grayed out. .xls files do match. When I select "All files (*.*)", to enable me opening the .xlsx files, they open just file, as a spreadsheet.
I also see this issue, using OO 3.2 RC5, build 9483. It was not present in OO 3.1. My platform is Win XP; I also noticed that I can no longer Save As the .xlsx (ExCel 2007) file type in the RC5 build.

xlsx missing in spreadsheets filter. Rev. 1513819 Win 7
Not reproduce with 4.1.7 "Open" or "Insert sheet from file" menu shows a dialog with * filter. Scroll filter list shows XLSX. Select a XLSX document works as attended.
