I've just installed 3.1 and immediatly started receiving Language Tool error 
messages that persist on screen when opening Writer documents. OPen Office also 
generates Microsoft error messages which also close the application. Contact me 
via email for a screen print if required.

Which version of Language tool do you run on your OOo? Maybe you should upgrade
to newer version 1.0.0?

Do you have Java Runtime Environment installed on your XP?
I do not get error messages with Language Tool installed on OOo 3.1.1 WinXP...
Setting Prio to 3 as long as no one else can confirm this problem - seems to be
a very special thing.

I had to re-install the Language Tool - this seems to have resolved this issue.
 
Seems like it may have been a registry conflict as I also cleaned my registry.
