Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10981
more options for fax printer
Last modified: 2003-10-01 15:45:58 UTC
i would like to see a more customisable and more options for configuring the OO.o hylafax sendfax client. basically make it more userfriendly. this is my current fax printer command: sendfax -h ttyS1@192.168.1.1 -R -f 'email@mail.server' -n -d (PHONE) (TMP) where: -h ttyS1@192.168.1.1 means the hylafax server is using com1 on server ip 192.168.1.1 -R enable notification by email for all sorts of status messages with the job -f 'email@mail.server' this is the email to notify for the -R option -n no cover page -d destination
Could you please elaborate on what you want enhanced ? I take it the command line works as intended ? Would you want more tags (like (PHONE) and (TMP)) for other command line switches ?
cp->pl: please take care of this one and/or hand it over to falko (whatever will turn out to be more appropriate)
yes the command line works as intended .. in that order (sendfax at times gives priority for certain switches as to which order it is added to the cmd line *shrug*) as to more tags ok not a problem but these two tags are not documented (as far as i could find) in 643. i was also hoping to have it more like "kde send fax" style option buttons + text boxes, where u can enter the host parameters, email for confirmation, etc. also, perhaps it might be better to hide (PHONE) (TMP) tags as erasing them will cause problems, user side. thx for listening
pl->ft: kdeprintfax is undoubtedly much niftier that our solution. You people decide whether that's within our scope.
Set to "NEW"
Since WM like KDE or Gnome get more and more powerful, special solutions like a print admin or fax printer getting more nad more obsolete. We will direct our efforts to support unified interfaces (like CUPS) insrtead of investing energy into proprietary solution anymore. That's why I turn this one down...
...and close it.
