Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 109897
Chart data ranges not updated when copying the sheet
Last modified: 2010-03-08 10:06:13 UTC
Let you have a sheet with data in it and a chart which refers to those data. Let you copy this sheet. On a new sheet the new chart will refer to the data from the old sheet in spite that the new sheet has the data as well. The expected behaviour would be to keep all references to the data on other then copied sheet untouched (as it is now) but adjust all references to the data on the copied sheet to point on the newly created sheet. The very same behaviour as expected is currently used for formulas in copied page.
Even if you update data range references from default absolute references (like $Template.$R$50:$T$81) to relative one (like Template.$R$50:$T$81), you will get an absolute reference to old sheet on the copied sheet, which is clearly a bug.
