Should the EPUB export get implemented, I suggest similar form to be displayed
as with PDF, with some conversion options available.
According to this great guide http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52 

one of them (enabled by default) should be the "Discard header and footer".

If enabled, any header or footer anywhere in document should be discarded during
export processing (but NOT in the originating document).
