mav->krabina:
Are you using Open Office from Ubuntu or the official build from openoffice.org?
Which java do you have on your machine installed ( Sun jdk/jre or Gnu jdk/jre ),
and which version of it?

I am changing the priority, since this is definitely not more than P2 ( the
office still works well after the installation, although the extension can not
be installed ).

Installation of Ubuntu 10.04 with the openoffice and java versions that come
with it.

@krabina: please report this to Ubuntu.
In general to report here always check issues first on an OOo version from our site.
In this case the Gnu jdk/jre does not suite to the extension which is supports
Sun Java.

@krabina: Just a hint, please check whether the package
openoffice.org-java-common is installed. I have read that many users have
problems with java-extensions in OOo because the package is missing in default
installation in Ubuntu 10.04. And as es has correctly pointed in his comment, it
is a problem of Ubuntu.

Thank you. Installing this package resolved the issue!
