Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 112218
When using digital signatures in OpenOffice.org 3.2 (3.2.0 and 3.2.1) signatures name and email are blank
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:22:34 UTC
When using digital signatures in OpenOffice.org 3.2 (3.2.0 and 3.2.1) - the signtature seems to be OK but everywhere OO shows empty (blank) name and email address of the person who has signed the document In older versions (3.1 and older) everything is OK and correctly displayed. Here are some screenshots: - valid and correctly displayed digital signature in 00 3.1: http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/1996/oo311screen1.jpg http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/7129/oo311screen3.jpg http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/8243/oo311screen2.jpg - same document opened with OO 3.2: http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/2103/doccreatedandsignedunde.jpg http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/2103/doccreatedandsignedunde.jpg http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/2103/doccreatedandsignedunde.jpg - new document created and signed with OO 3.2 and opened with OO 3.2: http://img96.imageshack.us/f/doccreatedandsignedunde.jpg/ http://img268.imageshack.us/i/doccreatedandsignedunde.jpg/ http://img696.imageshack.us/i/doccreatedandsignedunde.jpg/ http://img200.imageshack.us/i/doccreatedandsignedunde.jpg/

@syakoubov Where did you get your Openoffice.org version and which version is it? Could be that you have the old nss libraries And could you provide us a signed sample document & the certificate, of course without key.
Created attachment 70024 [details] Test Document Signed
Here is a test document. You can view the certificate within the document - in "File" -> "Digital Signatures" -> "View Certificate" -> "Details" This is not a nss libraries issue, because Mozilla Thunderbird and Firefox both are working properly and thе problem is only in OpenOffice.org 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 (we have tested both versions on Windows XP, Windows 7, Ubuntu 10.04, Ubuntu 9.10, openSUSE 11.0, openSUSE 11.1 and openSUSE 11.2)
@JL: Please evaluate, Thanks.
The current parsing algorithm for the distinguished names (DN) for issuer and subject name cannot handle multi-value relative distinguished names in the (DN). The effect is, that issuer/subject are not display or not displayed correctly, so that one cannot use the digital signatures feature.
.
@hi: Please verify. Use all the test cases under paragraph 4 and 8.1 (xmlecurity/test_docs/test_description.odt.
Verified with cws jl153 = OK; all readable now Test cases successful proceeded.
