In Table9.odt, select the 1st row of the table,  click Table>Table_Properties,
get Table_Format. Tab Table: Width=9.6 in; alignment: manual. Tab Columns: col.
width = 0.60, 1.01, 0.98, .., 0.99. Return to Tab Table, set alignment: center.
Go back to tab Columns: widths of col.1..5 are all upset: 1.79, 0.02, 0.02,
1.18! But, not really: click OK, table is the same; return to
Table_Format>Columns: widths are OK.
There is a bug just in the info display.

MRU->OS: this issue is quite curious. On my system it only occurs when I use
metric system in Writer. Submitter of issue faces it with English units... maybe
it differs with different regional settings of the system.
It looks, that this is "only" a UI bug. The column seems seem to be stored
correctly internally.

NOT reproducible with "AOO 4.1.0 Release – German UI / German locale [AOO410m18(Build:9764)  -   Rev. 1589052 2014-04-22 11:43:54]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic” 4. User Profile used for all predecessor versions, Writer measure unit = mm

(a) already ok with: No Version
(b) Was still reproducible with

  on German German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", Common 4.0-dev User Profile
* sever installation of "OOo 3.2.1 English UI / German locale [OOO320m18 
  (Build 9502)]" on WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) DE 
(c) I see the problem with Writer measure unit = cm, but not with Writer 
    measure unit = mm
(d) With Writer measure unit = mm I see the problem when I change 'Alignment'
    from Center to Auto
