Description pw8901 2010-07-20 14:54:49 UTC
Issue 36672 (and 64822) refer.
In MS Excel (and Gnumeric) duplicating a sheet containing a chart creates a new
sheet, with the data ranges in the duplicated chart referenced to data on the
new sheet. This is an acceptable work around to the problem in OOo chart of
having to manually edit the formatting of each element of a chart individually
to get two charts with the same style (referred to by 36672), as in
Excel/Gnumeric it is only necessary to enter new data into the duplicate range
to get a different chart with the same style. In OOo Calc, the duplicate chart
still refers to the data on the original sheet, and requires a manual edit of
the data ranges which is very laborious for multiple data series. Although the
ability to define custom styles for charts as in 36672 would be better, please
modify the "Move/Copy sheet" procedure so that the duplicate chart data ranges
are re-referenced to the new sheet.

The behavior was already changed as requested with issue 29848 for target
milestone OOo 3.3 (see developer version dev300m78 or higher or codeline ooo330).
