Description liheng 2010-07-22 11:50:54 UTC
UOF is a Chinese document format developed by Chinese government and all
elements of UOF with Chinese tag-name and it is updated frequently in current
period, a lots of new feature would be add into this standard. To launch a
separate project of UOF may focus on special features of China and Chinese
market, and all of office software provider who based on OpenOffice.org in China
can maintain only one project of UOF interoperability for OpenOffice.org, and we
can get the best interoperability of UOF in China.

Li Heng, normally, I listen for ssh2keys on "ssh2key" not "louis"; but.... a little hazy here in Incubator
land.

What I need is the specific name of the project you want.
The owner (with the OpenOffice.org Project username)
Co-lead/owner, if any

the language of development is to be English. The license, LGPL v3; documents are supposed to be in
PDL and with exception, can be CC-BY (eg, PDFs)

A wiki double of the project is recommended, as that involves others more easily. But the license for the
wiki is the same as for the entire domain.

Thanks.

Louis, We think that 'UOF' is the good name for this project.
The owner is An hongyun, her username is 'anhongyun' in OpenOffice.org. I would
be a Co-lead with username 'liheng'.

We will translate all comment of code into English with the LGPL v3 license, and
WIKI is a perfect tool for any project.

Hello Li Heng, I assume you intended to reassign the issue to Louis for further
processing.
Beyond Louis' hints about licensing you will be aware that code contributors are
required to submit the Contributor Agreement. For details see
http://contributing.openoffice.org/programming.html
Thanks, Stefan

Hi Louis,
I reassign this issue to you for further processing.
But I think I have bad network with OpenOffice.org, this is the 3rd time I
reassign issue to you, but it is blocked and failed.

LiHeng,
Please consult http://www.openoffice.org/about_us/protocols_proposing.html for further information. I
am quite happy to proceed, as Stefan has suggested, but do need for you to interest developers about
the proposed project.

This means, if you have not done so, informing would be members of the project on the relevant OOo
lists. It also means, as Stefan suggested, fulfilling the requirements stipulated regarding intellectual
property, so that we may proceed safely and surely.

thanks
Louis
Comment 6 anhongyun 2010-11-05 08:45:42 UTC
The project name is uof.openoffice.org, and the leads' ooo usernames is anhongyun.
Comment 7 lsuarezpotts 2010-11-05 17:07:59 UTC
Done.
Created the project, uof.openoffice.org, modified the Issue Tracker description so that it reveals more,
added the leads to the description in the Incubator page, http://projects.openoffice.org/incubator.html.

What needs to be done now:

announce in newsletter
announce in project leads (and add you two to that list)
announce in dev, discuss, xml lists: you can do that
Comment 8 anhongyun 2010-11-23 03:23:08 UTC

Is there anything left to do or can we close the issue?
Comment 10 stx123 2011-03-23 16:24:36 UTC
Reset QA Contact to new default
Comment 11 Pedro Giffuni 2011-09-04 19:18:27 UTC
Hello guys;

Even though I am not chinese, this project seems really interesting and I am sure RedOffice and IBM will want to help it continue.

I just thought I'd mention that since OOo is moving under the Apache umbrella you should consider the Apache version 2 License:

http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0

The new license is GPL3 compatible and will actually permit much wider use of your project.
Comment 12 Pedro Giffuni 2011-10-14 20:23:11 UTC
This issue was, apparently, ready to close.

There has been no activity though, and the old Sun Servers may be disposed of any day now, so if there's still something going on do make it known in the Apache dv list.
