Description bigblue2001 2010-08-13 22:07:11 UTC
When using Calc, we are running into frequent 'not responding' messages while
inputting and editing Data we insert. We are presently experiencing an issue
with our OpenOffice 3.2.1 RC2 version, and have reenacted this problem in
version 3.2.0 as well. We are presently working off of files that are stored on
a Windows Server 2008 server.

I have moved back to 3.1.1 to see if older versions would have the same issues.
With 3.1.1, I have no problems, but I have a colleague though that has with 3.1.1.

Is there a version that we can use where this problem will be non-existent? or
is this problem going to be addressed exactly in the new 3.3 release coming
soon? Please help.

This is probably the same as:

I can confirm that on slower systems, Calc becomes unresponsive during the
background sava operation.

Note: actually the 2 issues are not the same, but probably related as file input
and background save probably perform similar operations.

Okay, I will look into that further. What I would like to know further as we are
doing testing here of OpenOffice with Windows Server 2008 is... is OpenOffice
3.2 or now the new upcoming 3.3, going to be compatiable with those of us that
use Windows Server 2008 Domains?
