Description jaguilar2008 2010-09-26 08:54:58 UTC
After experiencing repeated random crashes while running two instances of the OOo
suite simultaneously i.e. Impress and Writer. I noticed if one instance crashes
and closes so does the other one, this caused because all the applications in OOo
suite share the same process within the OS. Undesired data loss due to crashes is
inevitable but adding other instances of the OOo suite increases dramatically the
amount of data lost.
This could be prevented by separating processes within the suite, i.e. One for
Impress and a separate one for Impress. Much like Google Chrome separates tasks
between its tabs, so if one crashes it won't affect other works.
