Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 115049
Saving in word 6.0 will result in faulty swedish signs.
Last modified: 2010-10-13 12:59:13 UTC
Hi! This problem has occured at my parents place, and it goes like this: I write an document in openoffice, and saves it as WORD 6.0, just so word users can open it without any problems. When i see the files in the directory, it SAYS that the file is WORD 95, and not word 6.0. If i then open it in openoffice, it opens perfectly, but if I write something new in that document, and saves it again. the swedish letters å ä ö Å Ä Ö are replaced by chinese signs.
Created attachment 72037 [details] an example of a file that displayes chinese signs.
I cannot reproduce the issue with the newest OOO330m10 developer milestone (which is close to the upcoming OOO 3.3 release), please check for yourself via "http://download.openoffice.org/next", maybe it's because of CWS writerfilter08ooo330 which fixed a very similar problem and was integrated in OOO330m4 milestone
