Description jmpoo 2010-10-20 10:46:03 UTC
open "Styles and Formatting" choose "Paragraph Style"
modify something in "Font" and "Font Effects" of heading1
Close with OK

Open again the Modify-Dialog of heading1 and click the "Default" button in
"Font" tab

Expected behaviour: Only the modifications in font tab are resetted
Unexpected: Modifications in "Font Effects" tab changes too.

Works as expected in OOo 2.4

In general this seems to work correctly/as expected - I tried with Font Effect
"Effects" of value "Title". Which option from the Font effects tab page did you
take?
Comment 2 jmpoo 2010-10-22 08:19:35 UTC
I tried with "Font Colour", it is resetted to "Automatic"

I followed up your clue and try it with other "Effects", "Reliefs", "Overlining"
and "Outline". Works as expected, only "Font Colour" is always resetted.

MRU->OS: When using the "Standard" button in the "Font" tab of paragraph styles,
this will also reset the Font color on the "Font effects" tab (thogh not
initially not visible in dialog; only after confirming dialog).
BTW: in my OOo 2.4.1 this did also not work...
Comment 4 Oliver Specht 2010-10-22 14:38:48 UTC
The reason is the array pNameRanges in svx/source/tabpages/chardlg.cxx that
contains SID_ATTR_CHAR_COLOR

I tried it again, eyes wide open and ... you're absolutely right. Sorry.
Same in OOo 1.1.5, seems that it never worked as expected.

Once upon a time, in StarOffice 5.2, the color settings had been on the same tab
as the font size.

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
