Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 115512
"Precision as shown" not working if automatic decimal
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:41:51 UTC
Hello, I love "automatic decimal" (CWS koheiautodecimal https://tools.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/cws.ShowCWS?logon=false&Id=8942&Path=DEV300%2Fkoheiautodecimal) However, it seems it is not compatible with "Precision as shown" option. Steps to reproduce: - in Tools>Options>OOo Calc>Calculate, check "Precision as shown" option, and uncheck "Limit decimals for general number format" option - enter a decimal value such as =PI() => you get 0! Found in OOo330m14 (RC4) on WinXP
I can confirm the defect under Linux (Ubuntu 10.04 x86-64) from at least OOO330m9. Key word regression set : no problem in OOo 3.2.1 JBF
Adding me to CC
I'll take it.
adjusting target to 3.3
Fixed in CWS "calc63". The new (and intended) behavior is: With automatic decimals and "precision as shown", there is no rounding for cells with default format. This was agreed upon on the ux list, see point 3 in http://ux.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=discuss&msgNo=4312.
reassigning to QA for verification
verified in internal build cws_calc63
