Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 116003
Search and Replace dialog box does not resize after long string in find field
Last modified: 2010-12-09 15:42:47 UTC
Under OO Writer, the Search and Replace dialog box has become too wide to fit on screen, thus the buttons cannot be seen or clicked. This occurred when a very long sentence was used in "search for" and widened the box. The box can not be resized and "snaps" back to the excessively-wide dimensions when attempting to resize. Restarting OO Writer does not help.
Cannot reproduce on Ubuntu with native OOo 3.3. On which distribution? Which window manager? Are you using the native OOo version or the version of your distribution? In the second case, test the current (3.3) native OOo version.
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 with the default Gnome WM and the distribution's OO, 3.2, specifically OOO320m12. I'll try to test a new OO install with 3.3, but that may not happen for a bit.
It looks that this is even fixed in the distri's OOo 3.2.1 build. Also cannot confirm this with native OOo 3.3.
Closed.
