create table in presentation.
and enter text in table cells, check undo&redo text in this table.

undo&redo text will not work,till you exit the selected table.

I can see the same behavior. Also when you put the cursor outside the table and back into a cell, then the undo&redo icons are disabled again.

So, I expect that it's working as designed for the moment but indeed I think it could be improved. Therefore I've changed this issue to enhancement.
