Description louqle 2012-01-17 03:32:39 UTC
seems bug 15315 is for the same issue, but it has been closed.

1. enter some text into a cell
2. double-click the cell to enter edit mode then select the text
3. right-click and choose "Character" from context menu, change font effect from the dialog
4. exit edit mode, but highlight the cell, right-click and choose "Format cells"

change font effect in this dialog then apply, it doesn't take effect.

Found this issue while I set attributes of hyperlink text.

Confirm it is reproduced on current AOO on Windows XP.
Comment 2 Regina Henschel 2012-02-10 10:47:40 UTC
I think, that it the desired behavior, that directly formatting single characters takes precedence over the general setting for the cell.
Example: You format a word of the text in red in step 3. You set the font color to blue in step 4. The red word is still red and that is correct behavior.

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.
