Description sanjay pundir 2012-02-10 15:59:34 UTC
Dear sir/madam,
We are huge fan of Open office for so many years and using it happily for our home usages. But we are facing problem in linking open office spreed sheet(3.3) with Autodesk's Autocad 2012 or any version of Autocad. In MS office we can very much get the bi directional updates/linking of excel sheet, like if we would like to update any MS excel file it will automatically update the sheet info(Area calculations etc.) on drawing files and vice versa. But in open office it is not happening as it do not associate with drawing files bidirectionally. Moreover after installing open office in Autocad paste link do not highlight as it does otherwise in MS case.
Kindly resolve this and link bidirectionally open office calc spreed sheet with Autocad as well.We had discussed with Autodesk as well they said some change/patch work is required in open office to get this bidirectional association.
Here I am forwarding Autodesk reply for your reference:
Dear SANJAY PUNDIR,

Thank you for choosing Autodesk Support. With AutoCAD the bi-directional associative is only available with Microsoft excel. Unfortunately the Open document does not support bidirectional association. It can be opened in AutoCAD but the updates does not retains it sources.
This issues need to be raised on the open office forums to check if they have any technical solution to these issues.

Best regards,

Niranjan Kamath
Autodesk Support Team

Kindly do needfull as our work is suffering due to same.
Thanks in anticipation,
Regards,
Sanjay Pundir

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.
