Description Ben Fritz 2012-05-24 03:03:45 UTC
I like downloading OpenOffice using the torrent, but do not see one listed for version 3.4. The latest listed version on http://www.openoffice.org/distribution/p2p/ is version 3.3.0.

So...it's not going to be fixed? Or I reported it in the wrong place? I marked "www" in the "Product" field because I understand that's for issues with the website, I thought the fact that the latest version is unavailable for me to download would qualify as such.

Currently we have no one who is familar with torrent work. Therefore I think we would not buildup again a torrent network. Maybe for one of the future releases. Sorry.

Agree with it, I think we should use torrent download in future release, in current http download, It is slow and interruptive sometimes at my side, after interruptive, i need start download from zero again. Torrent download is a better way for the users like me.

P2P downloads are not offered from Apache. Maybe this can come back but it's a question of who will establish this as it is a task for the community.
