A sample database

When designing a table in Base, it is possible to set default values for the different field. While those values selected by the user are maintained when you set numeric and text fields, they fail to load when you set a date field: when you load the database to work on it, the date loaded is not the one set as default by the user. For example if you set 11/06/2012 as default date, when you open the table you'll get 05/01/1900.
