Open Office Writer 3.4.1
Windows XP SP3

I define a paragraph style named "MyStyle 001", linked with "Default", Indent Before text = 1,00 cm, Spacing Below paragraph = 0,20cm

Then I define a paragraph style named "MyStyle 002", linked with "MyStyle 001", Indent Before text = 2,00 cm, Spacing Below paragraph unchanged, which is still 0,20cm (inheriting from "MyStyle001").

"Organiser", "Contains" says "Indent left 2,0cm, Indent right 0,0 cm"

I save the document and close it.

I reopen the document.

The paragraph style "MyStyle001" has changed as follows:
The Spacing Below paragraph has been set to 0,0cm
In "Organiser", "Contains" it says "Indent left 2,0cm, Indent right 0,0 cm + From top 0,0cm, From bottom 0,0cm"

If I leave "Indent before text" unchanged when creating "MyStyle002", Spacing below paragraph will not be set to 0,0cm.

I can reproduce this behavior in AOO 3.4, 3.4.1  and in Dev_AOO350m1_r1400866, german Versions, Win7.

Works as expected (and described for linked styles in Writer-Tutorial) as long as the file is open.
Closing and reopening shows the bug.

Changes at "second-level-linked-styles" are saved, changes at third level styles are resetted.

This description is wrong!

CHANGES at each level are saved.

The LINK between second level styles and third level styles broke down when saving the file.

A link between first level styles and second level styles works.

Hello,

I reproduced your problem perfectly in win7 AOO 3.41  and I got the same result when I tested it.I'll confirm this bug.

The same bug is in OpenOffice 4.0.0 on Windows Vista.
The spacing above and below paragraph is set to 0 spontaneously every time any Paragraph Style Indent (Before text, After text or First line) is modified and document is reopened.
The bug take place in both second and third level styles. Other levels were not examined.
