Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 121553
[AW080] Default circle inserted via keyboard (=accessibility mode) is not a circle but an ellipse
Last modified: 2013-08-07 19:41:04 UTC
Make sure your drawing toolbar has the "Circles and Ovals" (="Ellipse") sub- toolbar. Make sure the drawing toolbar is visible. Press key F6 (= accessibility mode) until you are in the drawing toolbar. Use right/left arrow keys to move to the Ellipse sub-toolbar. Open the sub-toolbar with the up/down arrow keys. Use the right/left arrow keys to go to the filled circle. Press Ctrl-Enter to insert a circle. The result should be a circle in the middle of the document. But you get an ellipse. (You can leave the accessibility mode by pressing Ctrl-Enter.)
Oops. (You can leave the accessibility mode by pressing Ctrl-Enter.) --------------------------------------------------Ctrl+F6
I tried to reproduce this issue in Apache OpenOffice 3.4.0 and 4.0.0 on Windows 7. Strangely, I can't even find a toolbar called "Circles and Ovals" or "Ellipse". It is not under View > Toolbars, regardless whether the Drawing toolbar is visible or not. There is a "Circles and Ovals" toolbar in LibreOffice Draw 4.0.4.2 but it cannot be reached by keyboard. Was this issue reported in the right issue tracker ;-)
