Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 12181
[oo impress]Word order typing is unaffected by the directonality setting in the toolbar
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:00:23 UTC
Build cws_srx644_ooo20030223 on Windows ME Hebrew enabled, with CTL enabled in OO: When entering Hebrew text, the word order is always LTR even when setting the direction as rtl in the toolbar. to repro: * create a new pesenteration from on of the layouts * Duble click on some text in the template to replace it with your own * in the text toolbar, make sure that the RTL is selected * type the text result: word order is still LTR, even though you set it as RTL. Clicking on RTL/LTR buttons on the toolbar seem to have no effect this might be related to issue #11865
Created attachment 5035 [details] Sample document- no matter what the rtl/ltr button is, the word order is incorrect
Created attachment 5036 [details] Screen shot of the problem (incorrect word order)
DL->HDU: Would you please takeover?
Yes it is a duplicate to issue 11865. See the fix there. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 11865 ***
HDU->US: Please verify in VCL07.
Setting status to fixed.
There seems to be one limitation left. For some kind of reason in presentations after a linebreak some hebrew words still are displayed in reverse order. Made this issue subject of a follow up task in internal bugtracking system (iBIS #108580#). Thus the target (OOo1.1 Beta2) still holds true. With delivery of OOo 1.1 Beta2 this complex should work.
Verified in OOo 1.1 Beta2.
