Order of Worsip for church service

When I use AOO to open ODT files written with OOO, every space is filled with arrows, dots or paragraph symbols and I can find no way to remove them.

May be you have turned on the option to show non-printing characters.

Try the menu "View" - "Nonprinting characters".

You can set the options globally for every text document from the Options dialog: Tools - Options... - OpenOffice.org Writer - Formatting Aids

Winfred Wllis, I see that on the screenshot you do have the “Nonprinting characters” clicked. Try.
1.Click on the icon to uncheck it.
2.Or press Ctrl + F10
