Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 122790
New gradient names are untranslated
Last modified: 2013-07-21 08:37:00 UTC
In the Draw toolbar, select "Gradient" and use the pull-down list next to it or get a list of gradient names in any way. The new gradient names are untranslated. Examples: "Blue Gradient 1", "Pink Gradient", "Sky". The strings do not appear in Pootle or in the SDF files, so the problem is likely that they are not marked as translatable or not properly exported. Content in extras should be translated. This is known as Bug 122312
I forgot to add that the existing (from 3.x) gradient names appear as correctly translated, and can be found in the SDF files with the following IDs: RID_SVXSTR_GRDT0 ... RID_SVXSTR_GRDT9
(In reply to Andrea Pescetti from comment #2) > I forgot to add that the existing (from 3.x) gradient names appear as > correctly translated, and can be found in the SDF files with the following > IDs: > > RID_SVXSTR_GRDT0 > ... > RID_SVXSTR_GRDT9 The bug of untranslated gradients and other palettes has two parts: a) standard palettes, those named standard.* (standard.sog for the gradients), are localized via svx/source/dialog/sdstring.src, thus they are in pootle b) the other palettes are localized directly on the XML file, see /trunk/main/extras/source/palettes/lang/<LANG>/ For (a), the fix is similar to bug 122317 For (b), 4.0 is releasing languages without localized palettes If you want this bug to track only (a), then remove the block status on bug 122312 (that one must be split in several subtasks).
