Description Răzvan Rotaru 2013-10-04 16:25:09 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
- insert an image in a document
- change it's anchoring to "as character"
- write some text immediately below the image (in a new paragraph)
- resize the image, making it smaller

Behaviour: the text below remains in the same position, so that there is a big space between the image and the text now (bigger than the formatting specifies it)

Expectation: the text should move "up", and be placed below the image, with the same spacing as before the resizing. The text is correctly placed in two cases:
1/ when the document is closed and reopened
2/ when a character is written immediately after the image (in the same paragraph)

Reproducible with "AOO 4.0.1 RC3 – German UI / German locale [Rev. 1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic” 4.0 User Profile used for all predecessor versions.

Steps how to reproduce:
1. Dowlnload / open sample document from above mentioned LibO-Bug
   <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=58875>
2. Click picture in document
   Control points appear
3. decrease height to half using mouse and shifting bottom middle control point
   upwards
Expected: When mouse button released word "After" moves up directly
             below picture
Actual: Stays at it's old place

Additional Info:
---------------
(a) Might have the same roots as LibO "Bug#47355 - EDITING: When shrinking an
object anchored as character, paragraph below it doesn't update its
    position"
(b) not limited to pictures, also a problem for charts, may be all objects
(c) Due to LibO-Bug tnis one might affect all OS
(d) Even the Detail that the bug is not reproducible with
<https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=58871> is the same as in
LibO, so I am pretty sure that this here IS the same bug
(e) already reproducible with
    * server installation of "AOO 3.4.0 – German UI / German locale
      [AOO340m1(Build:9590) - Rev.1327774]" on German WIN7 Home Premium
      (64bit)", own separate user profile
(f) was still ok with
    * "Ooo 3.3.0  – German WIN7  Home Premium  (64bit) German UI
      [OOO330m20 (build 9567)]"
(g) "Bug 120279 - Table row not resized when picture anchored as character is
sized down" is concerning the same problem, I will leave a comment there
and mark that one as a DUP of this one, because we have more info here.

Lots of DUPs in LibO Bug, this one might deserve a "major" (many users affected)

I confirm the problem. The solution I adopt is to write a white space after the image (in its same paragrapf) and then delete it. Magically the text below rise up properly.
