The AOO codebase contains some conditional code for X11 versions older than X.Org X11R6.1, which was released on 1996-03-12. Support for older versions hasn't been tested for ages and has been disabled for our Linux and FreeBSD platform targets for over six years now. This platform-specific check can and should be removed now, especially since other Unix ports ran into problems when they weren't included in this exquisite list.
