Find Help Heading Strings only works if checked

It seems that some Heading strings only can be found if that options is checked in Help-Find of German version, while in English AOO as expected heading strings always also will be found without that option checked. For My test I visited Pages * Fußnote bearbeiten (Footnote/Endnote) * And transferred the heading text to Search Input Line by copy / paste I compared results when I try to find heading strings: *server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI / English locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1554003 - 2014-01-06]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile. * server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – German UI / German locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1537508 - 2013-11-02]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile. In Help for Writer menu 'Tools- Footnotes/Endnotes' (German: 'Bearbeiten - Fußnoten') I failed to find Heading strings without "Only search titles": (a) Automatisch (Auto) below "Nummerierung" (b) Art (Type) (c) Pfeil links (Arrow left) (d) Pfeil rechts (Arrow right) In Help for Writer menu 'Edit - Footnotes -> Footnotes' (German: 'Extras - Fußnoten -> Fußnoten') I failed to find Heading strings without "Only search titles": (e) Beginn bei (Start at, in English UI that Heading not found) (f) Position (Position, in English UI that Heading not found) (g) Absatz (Paragraph) (h) Am Fußnotenende (End of Footnote) Finally I did some more detailed test for (h) (h1) no option checked * German: Nothing found * English: "About Import and Export Filters", nonsense-result for "of" highlighted * Expected: At least found "'Edit - Footnotes -> Footnotes'" (h2) 'Complete Words Only' option checked * German: Nothing found * English: Nothing found * Expected: as (h1) (h3) 'Only in Titles' option checked * German: Correct page found, but instead of Heading several "Am" strings marked * English: Nothing found * Expected: as (h1), hits "End of Footnote" highlighted (h4) both options checked * German: as (h3) * English: as (h3) * Expected: as (h1), hits "End of Footnote" highlighted I think generally checking options should reduce number of found hits, observations in German AOO Help are odd. For bugs in English Help I will submit separate Bugs.
I am not sure if I understand the issue correct, Rainer can you try to check this on the AOO 4.1 Beta RC. I tried it on Mac and in the Writer Help, I searched with checked "in titles only" for various strings and get expected results. But again I am not sure if I understand the issue.
It seems I currently also fail to understand all details of my report. A fact easy reproducible: What will work 1. With English UI AOO [1] from AOO start Center launch writer document 2. <f1> for help -> Contents (Tab) -> Text Documents -> Contents and Menu Reference -> Menus -> Edit -> Link "Footnotes" > Page with heading "Footnote/Endnote" appears 3. Change to 'Find' Tab 4. Copy - Paste Heading string "Footnote/Endnote" to find input line -> [Find] (both selections unchecked) > Several hits 5. Doble Click hit "Compatibility" (to get different help contents) > "Compatibility" help will be reached 6. Double click hit "Footnote/Endnote" > Back to contents "Footnote/Endnote" as expected What will not work 11. With German UI AOO [2] from AOO start Center launch writer document 2. <f1> for Hilfe -> Inhalte (Tab) -> Textdokumente -> Befehle und Menüs -> Menüs -> Bearbeiten -> Link "Fußnoten" Page with heading "Fußnote bearbeiten" appears 3. Change to 'Suchen' Tab 4. Copy - Paste Heading string "Fußnote bearbeiten" to 'Suchbegriff' input line -> [Suchen] (both selections unchecked) Bug: No Hit :-( If that is reproducible you should be able to to find the root of the problem. It's a general problem for me that German help search seems to show less hits than English one, but I never did a systematic research.
