Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 124644
Static date cell contents changed after save - reopen
Last modified: 2017-05-20 09:57:20 UTC
Try to do the following: 1. Open the file (the one who sent me or that I sent you, the problem is the same), 2. Edit date in a static format to the actual date or write in another field current date again in a static format, 3. Close the file, 4. Opened it again. It appears that the date in a static format was changed a day ago and the year is much older. Only months does not change.
Please attach file.

Cell A3 keeps date OK AOO410m15(Build:9761) - Rev. 1585426 2014-04-01 13:50 - Linux x86_64 Debian
Failed to mention that the problem is in AOO4.1.0m1 (Build: 9750) - Rev. 1566593. I have not tried it yet with the next Release.
Can not reproduce AOO410m16(Build:9762) - Rev. 1585426 2014-04-07 10:29:13 (Mo, 07 Apr 2014) Win 7
This one has been closed too quick - date processing can be a minefield, and currently we know too few about reporter's test conditions. NOT reproducible with "AOO 4.0.1 Release – German UI / German locale [AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic” 4.0 User Profile used for all predecessor versions But I saw an effect what seems a little strange: After I had modified A3 to 10.4. (shown as "10.04.2014 г.") and added 1.4. to B4, closed and reopened, I get Err:508 in cell E3 - what ever that might mean. I see that capitals in formula have changed to small letters, I am pretty sure that I already saw something like that some months or years ago - I can't remember. @reporter: Thank you for your feedback – unfortunately important information we will need to reproduce your problem is missing. Please add all information requested in following: a) Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is b) Please explain the date formatting, I haven't a clue what "10.04.2014 г." might mean. For all dates you mention please also contribute information concerning UTC exactly for that date / time c) Please contribute some information to your document. Is Formula in cell E3 relevant and what does it mean and and and ... d) Attach screenshots with comments how document looked before you sent it and how it looks after you observe the changes. Best way is to insert your screenshots into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show f) add information f1) what EXACTLY is unexpected. Not "date has changed", but "9.04.2014 г. has changed to "2004-05-09" f2) Installed AOO extensions f3) concerning your PC (video card, ...) f4) concerning your Operating System (Version, Distribution, Language) f5) concerning your AOO version (with Build/revision ID if it's not a public release) and localization (UI language, Locale setting) f6) AOO settings that might be related to your problems f7) how you launch AOO and how you opened the sample document f8) Whether your problem persists after you have renamed your user profile (Quit Quickstart before!) before you launch AOO (please see <https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/How_Tos/Handling_the_OpenOffice.org_User_Profile> f9) Whether that worked in former OOO / AOO Versions f10) whether (and how) a competitor's software (MSO, LibreOffice, ...) fulfills your needs Please do not cite these hints in your reply, but cite the items like: f7): Desktop-icon for soffice.exe / AOO File menu -> Open
reverting status completely to UNCONFIRMED
I can not see any issue. > After I had modified […], closed and reopened, I get Err:508 in cell E3 The error is always in the original file. Look into the call you find: #ОБР!. So you get the error without any change by pressing [F9].
Correction: call → cell
(In reply to Nikolay Ninkov from comment #4) > Failed to mention that the problem is in AOO4.1.0m1 (Build: 9750) - Rev. > 1566593. > I have not tried it yet with the next Release. These are the rules: https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Issue_lifecycle
Additional info: In the attached file is Tools → Cell Content → AutoCalculate disabled. That's the reason why the error and other changes only appear after [F9] or saving and reopening the file. In my opinion there is no defect.
(In reply to mroe from comment #11) > In the attached file is Tools → Cell Content → AutoCalculate disabled. You are right, that explains all the E4 effects. But currently I can't see how that can explain the problem of original report
I gambled around a little with various changes in OS and AOO settings, but I was not able to reproduce reporter's problem. I remember that we have had some similar descriptions in OO and LibO bugs with very different roots. Without reporter's help it will be impossible to find out what exactly his problem is and whether a fix will be required. So back to IRREPRODUCIBLE for now. @reporter: Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find out that the problem still exists in the latest public release of AOO and if you can provide requested additional information.
