I am having a problem importing and saving, also writing and saving any work in Writer. I get an error message that states 

General Error. 

General Input/Output Error

Please help me to fix this error as I am an avowed Open Office user. I don't use Microsoft products as I cannot abide Microsoft's inability to accept their users input.

I've again tried to save a document and again had the same error message pop up. What I'm going to try to do is to remove the program fully and reload the program. To see if this will resolve the issue. 

What is my concern though is the same message showing up on a continual bases. It is disconcerting to think that it is endemic to the program and I will apprise you of the results of this fix.
