Description mroe 2014-05-03 18:14:47 UTC
In
Options - OpenOffice - View :: Menu :: Icons in menus
one have the choice between Automatic | Hide | Show.

I've read that Automatic only works for Windows.
For Linux and Mac only "Show" should show icons in menus.

But this works only until one closes AOO. After a new start of AOO no icon in menus is shown although "Show" is always selected in
Options - OpenOffice - View :: Menu :: Icons in menus

I've selected ALL for OS because I can confirm this behaviour for Linux and Mac.

Because it was working in AOO 3.4 I set the keyword REGRESSION.
Comment 2 Edwin Sharp 2014-05-04 07:35:03 UTC
Hide is forgotten when restart AOO and icons are shown.
Show is remembered when restart AOO and icons are shown.

Because your observations differ from my description: is there another issue for Linux x86_64?

On Ubuntu 32bit/Gnome and on MacOS:
Hide: icons stays hidden,
Show: icons hidden after restart of AOO

Yes - I've checked over and over again to make sure.
