Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 124809
Icons in menus not shown although the option to show icons is selected
Last modified: 2014-05-05 17:59:48 UTC
In Options - OpenOffice - View :: Menu :: Icons in menus one have the choice between Automatic | Hide | Show. I've read that Automatic only works for Windows. For Linux and Mac only "Show" should show icons in menus. But this works only until one closes AOO. After a new start of AOO no icon in menus is shown although "Show" is always selected in Options - OpenOffice - View :: Menu :: Icons in menus I've selected ALL for OS because I can confirm this behaviour for Linux and Mac.
Because it was working in AOO 3.4 I set the keyword REGRESSION.
Hide is forgotten when restart AOO and icons are shown. Show is remembered when restart AOO and icons are shown. AOO410m18(Build:9764) - Rev. 1589052 2014-04-22 12:11 - Linux x86_64 Debian

On Ubuntu 32bit/Gnome and on MacOS: Hide: icons stays hidden, Show: icons hidden after restart of AOO
Yes - I've checked over and over again to make sure. Linux pc 3.12-2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.12.17-0tanglu1 (2014-04-16) x86_64 GNU/Linux KDE 4.11.5
