example of pasting image placeholders rather than images

I use Techsmith's SnagIt to capture images which I initially put into a Windows Live 2012 email to myself.

When the email gets too large, I copy/paste it into OpenOffice Writer.

The images within the email don't paste properly. Instead, I get what i call "image placeholders" instead. These placeholders will display a string beginning with "CID:" followed by some sort of identifier or will display the word "image".

I have attached a document with two examples.

   1) The first one on top is a CID example. On the left is the result after pasting into Writer and on the right is the image before copy/paste in Windows Live Mail.

   2) the second one shows a "Image" example. Again, on the left is the result after pasting into Writer and on the right is the image before copy/paste in Windows Live Mail.

@reporter:
Thank you for your feedback – unfortunately important information we will
need to reproduce your problem is missing.
Please add all information requested in following:
a) Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is
b) Attach a test kit with pictures, source documents, sample document
  (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing
   sample document in an other Bug with a link; to attach a file to this
   bug report, just click on "Add an attachment" right on this page.
   If you want to attach a test kit with multiple documents zip them into
   a single testkit.zip and attach the  testkit.zip
c) Contribute a test kit related step by step instruction containing every
   key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem
d) Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
   problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
   into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
e) if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
   from the scratch
f) add information
   f3) concerning your PC (video card, ...)
   f4) concerning your Operating System (Version, Distribution, Language)
   f5) concerning your AOO version (with Build/revision ID if it's not a
      public release) and localization (UI language, Locale setting)
   f6) AOO settings that might be related to your problems
      (video hardware acceleration, memory, ...)
   f7) how you launch AOO and how you opened the sample document
   f8) Whether your problem persists after you have renamed your user profile
     (Quit Quickstart before!) before you launch AOO (please see <https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/How_Tos/Handling_the_OpenOffice.org_User_Profile>
   f9) Whether that worked in former OOO / AOO Versions
   f10) whether (and how) a competitor's software (MSO, LibreOffice, ...)
        fulfills your needs

Please do not cite these hints in your reply, but cite the items like:
f7): Desktop-icon for soffice.exe / AOO File menu -> Open

If an image is copied from an internet browser, the image will be inserted as link into a writer document (Format HTML). The image itself will not be saved into the document.

After pasting the image the user have to break the link via Edit → Links…

Or he uses Edit → Paste Special…: Format Bitmap.

I already had a similar (real bug) problem that particular pictures from internet will not be shown in pasted webpage, but without more info we can't do any more.

Closing issue due to reporter's inactivity.

@reporter:
Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find out that the problem still exists in the latest public release of AOO and if you can provide requested additional information. We need a test kit (Attachment here in the Bug report) and a detailed step by step instruction how to reproduce your problem, for details please see <http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/HowToFileIssue>
