Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 1255
Importing Word forms with checkboxes
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:08:41 UTC
Checkboxes in Word forms are different from ours, they do not have a title. OOo imports them as checkboxes without titles. Fine. The problem is, if the user tabs through such a form in OOo, she cannot see when a checkbox has the focus, because OOo highlights the title of a checkbox, not the checkbox itself. This minor thing causes a lot of trouble when you work with forms containing many checkboxes. Sometimes you have to rebuild most of the form to get checkboxes that show where the focus currently is. You have to copy the descriptions from the original Word form to the checkbox titles and rearrange the checkboxes so that the title can be seen. (Example attached) Can you enable the graphical module to highlight the checkbox, when the title is not visible? This would highly improve Word form import. I send this to wp first, because you are the ones who should be the most interested in this enhancement ;-)

Reassigned to Michael.
MRU->SZ: That´s nothing for the Word import... this is a feature request for highlighting Checkboxes without a Caption. Ergo -> your team.
Forms and controls are your part I think.
It's a RFE, so it's your turn.
??? I cannot reproduce what you're saying.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
