Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 126612
Update notification for 4.1.2
Last modified: 2016-03-20 20:38:43 UTC
Created attachment 85086 [details] Proposed /openoffice/updates-site/trunk/aoo411/check.Update Please review attachment for update notification feed for 4.1.1. If this looks correct, we also need the same feed for 4.1.0, 4.0.x.
Looks correct, maybe the <title> should contain 4.1.1 and not 4.1.2? Or do we set it to the target release instead of the source release? This is just a convention. What about scripting it? A script to be stored in the updates site SVN, and taking as arguments the path to the main/solenv/inc/minor.mk file, a file with other local parameters (like: the "campaign" parameter for the URLs and a list of download pages like es http://www.openoffice.org/es/descargar/ it http://www.openoffice.org/it/download/ ) and producing the XML file. Since we always send the user to a web resource, we can assume that the URL only depends on the language, and not on other parameters. If we script it, we can update it more easily when new localized websites become available. If it is overkill, of course we can do with this.

If it is overkill, of course we can do with this. I'll take a look at the title business. I think you're right at the title should be 4.1.1 since that's the version to be updated. Re scripting. Definitely a good option. But I don't have time for that right now. I will get other versions ready and attach here as well. Then, back to dev before committing. Thanks for the feedback.
Created attachment 85088 [details] Revsion for 4.1.1 check.Update Revision in title per Andrea's comments.

Created attachment 85091 [details] lt and pt updates Fixed typos. Updated lt and pt download links.
Aivaras also fixed the 5 pages that still needed to be updated, so the current file can be put online when you wish.

Kay, did you work on the old version of the file because my updates and corrections for LT and PT are gone?
(In reply to Aivaras Stepukonis from comment #12) > Kay, did you work on the old version of the file because my updates and > corrections for LT and PT are gone? My apologies. OK, I will take a look at your changes and re-do if needed.
Update feed resubmitted for AOO 411 with corrections for Portugese and Lithunania. Other feeds will be corrected as well.

Feeds for review again.
Unfortunately, I do not see the changes in the newly uploaded files.
Please, see "https://bz.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=85091"
Do you want me to redo the changes?
(In reply to Aivaras Stepukonis from comment #20) > Unfortunately, I do not see the changes in the newly uploaded files. Hi....No need to redo. I committed your corrected version yesterday -- see: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/updates-site/trunk/aoo411/check.Update?revision=1712182&view=markup Your changes are there unless I am missing something. I did a diff on the original vs the one you submitted and noted the dropped languages. So, I simply copied your version over the old one. The 2 dropped languages are included now. And, I rechecked the other feeds as well to make sure all languages included with a release had corresponding entries in their respective feeds. Thank you again.
@Kay: The issue is that you attached two identical (sets of?) files. For example: the 4.1.0 -> 4.1.2 one is unchanged between the old version https://bz.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=85097 and the new version https://bz.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=85100 that was meant to replace it but is actually the same. Maybe you re-uploaded the same set, by mistake?
The committed content looks correct. Thank you! (The attachments here look different though, that's what triggered my alarm.)

Maybe you re-uploaded the same set, by mistake? You are right! As it turns out, the original ones for all other updates were right to begin with. But I removed them just to double check everything. Onlye the 4.1.1 -> 4.1.2 was incorrect.

As discussed on the dev list: generated feeds are OK. The current (already committed) 4.1.1 -> 4.1.2 feed should be updated too. The script has now been fixed to produce a consistent date format in revision 1713096.
