Using version 1.1 beta on Mandrake 9.1 (and 8.1)

Writing an equation with curly braces, {} (normal or scalable) messes up the
right rbrace. Its seems oversized, italic and bold. This problem did not exist
with OOo version 1.0.2

I could noit reproduce this with a different Linux system or Windows.

Also since it might be dependent of the specific document please add 
the bugdoc to this issue.

TL->MRU: Please check with the specified Linux distribution.

I have attached an example file (right_curly_brace.sxw) and a picture
of the formula as it is rendered (example.png).

Some notes:

1.  This is not document specific (see OOo1.1beta.png, example.png). 
I can reproduce it every time.  Any old docs created in 1.0.2 (and
display fine there) show messed up rbrace in 1.1 beta.

2.  I have tested this on two different computers, one running
Mandrake 8.1 and other running Mandrake 9.1

Though it does not sound like this, it is a duplicate to #12557. The
problem is insisted by a defect OpenSymbol font delivered with OO 1.1
Beta. When using the old font from OO 1.0.2 it works fine.
