final file with question marks

I opened a document in Farsi language and everything was OK.
I saved it and reopen it, all fonts are replaced by "?"
How can I access my original document which was my lecture after months work and I don't have any backup.
Please help.

The file format you are using is a simple text file. As there is no information stored about the used codepage and characters I've no indication what it is.

I'm very sorry but I think there is not help for you. Are you sure there is no older file left somewere on your harddisk that has an older version of your work?

PS:
For the future you should use the OpenOffice file format to save such text documents. And please always create backups. You should always do this, regardless of the software you are using.
