Description xorx 2017-05-26 20:00:58 UTC
AOO worked fine until yesterday: I installed mac osx 10.11 security fix 2017-002. Now AOO crashes whenever I try to open or create a document.

If I start AOO from the menu the splash screen apears and I can select to open or create a document, but then it crashes. The same happens when double clicking a document.

Find two crash dumps starting swriter directly form shell and starting writer from gui.

First, try to reset your user profile.
Comment 5 xorx 2017-05-27 19:32:14 UTC
Removing the user profile did not resolve the issue. On first startup after removing profile, open office recreated the profile, but did hang unresponsive.

After restart of oo the crash behaviour as described before reappeared.

Are there any more suggestions or at least a confirmation of this problem?
Comment 7 oooforum (fr) 2017-06-02 12:39:25 UTC
Find a user with same configuration is not easy
Maybe you can post on forum or mailing list to get confirmation by other people.

My solution was to drop openoffice and replace it by NeoOffice (oo-based). It runs out of the box. Obviously NeoOffice developers have solved the problem allready.

As it is not reproducible I'm closing this issue.
